As grass feed production offers alot of benefits than man-made grain diets. Thus making for a more sustainable environment, due to these following practises: toxic substances often used on land, such as herbicides and chemical fertilizers are often minimized or eliminated when grass feeding is initiated. Reduced tillage helps to conserve soil health and quality, water conservation often due to better irrigation monitoring and Biodiversity is better maintained with planned grazing systems.
Animals raised inorganically can cause just the opposite. Cattle commercially reared will cause serious environmental impacts such as: land degradation, air pollution, global warming as there are alot of gases produced from cows such as hydrogen sulphide, ammonia and methane, water pollution and list continues. All of which subsequently leads to the degradation of the environment.
Since we are living in the 21st century (the Mecca for modernization and mechanization), organic farming will eventually go unpractised and a thing of the past. The disadvantages will become dominant inevitably making it sooner or later hard for the environment to be inhabitable.
